Children of the Dawn, a South African NGO established in 2002, supports rural initiatives to help orphans and vulnerable children affected by AIDS through individual sponsorship. She accompanies these young people to develop and become responsible adults, through the program "My Future, My Responsibility", created in 2010.
Though this program, Children of the Dawn helps rural youngsters in difficulties build their future. Every year, the NGO organizes professional workshops (qualities and behaviors to develop in companies, management courses, company visits, meetings with professionals, etc.) and provides scholastic and social tutoring (education workshop, brainstorming on behavior, drug awareness, etc.) and medical assistance (healthcare, nutrition, hygiene, etc.).
AccorHotels staff from four Mercure hotels and Solidarity AccorHotels are convinced of the program’s effectiveness, and have been supporting it since 2011, allowing more than 2,000 young people to be accompanied in the task of defining their career path.
Being a parent myself, I appreciate and applause the initiative of the organization in supporting orphans and destitute children largely caused by poverty and the scourge of HIV & Aids diseases.
