Unibes is a Brazilian NGO which aims to improve access conditions to the labor market by underprivileged classes through education.
In 2008, AccorHotels Brazil head office staff and the NGO Unibes established a hospitality industry career initiation program for socially vulnerable young people. Every year, this project enables 60 young people to follow theoretical trainings (manners and behavior at work, customer service and making decisions) and practical trainings (organizing events, sales methods, human resources, logistics, telemarketing…).
Solidarity AccorHotels has supported this project since 2010, enabling each year to participate in the professional training and support of 60 additional beneficiaries.
The partnership between AccorHotels and Unibes has had a tremendous and positive impact on the lives of the young people supported, who are just starting out in the hspitality sector. I have a lot of admiration and pride for this project, especially since I was also a part of it! The advice and continuous support of professionals from AccorHotels throughout the training makes it a unique program, very formative and close to the reality of the world of work. It's a life-changing experience!
