The Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) is a French international non-profit development organization founded in 1988 with a mission to provide each person with the resources they need to reveal their talents, feel good about themselves and become responsible contributors to society. IECD has been active in South-East Asia since 2002 and in Burma since 2016.

Vocational training offers are almost non-existent in the country, therfore, the IECD has detected an opportunity to replicate the model of its French bakery school of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City (very good results of professional integration, close to 100%). The association is consequently inaugurating a new training center of French Bakery in Yangon.

Solidarity AccorHotels accompanies the launch of this training in 2018, for a batch of 12 young people coming from poor families from peri-urban and rural areas who have no access to education and are very far from employment.
